Continence Service

Description

 
The aim of the Incontinence Service is to alleviate the psychological problem(s) to which a person may, as a result of incontinence, be subjected.
 
 

Eligibility

 
·        Scheme A: The person must be in possession of a valid special identity card issued by the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD) and suffers from incontinence as certified by the respective General Practitioner (GP).  Those under Sheme A are entitled to free nappies.
·       Scheme B:  Applicant must be over sixty years of age and suffers from incontinence as certified by the respective General Practitioner (GP). Those under Scheme B are entitled to subsidised nappies.
 


What you’ll get

 
Scheme A:  a monthly amount of nappies fully subsidised.

Scheme B:  a monthly amount (unlimited) of subsidised nappies (that is a governemnt subsidy of €0.07c per nappy).
 
 

Required Documents

 
Completed application which is to be countersigned by the respective General Practitioner.

Scheme A:  free of charge
 
Scheme B:   Fees per nappy:
Small: 16c each
Medium: 23c each
Large: 27c each
Extra Large: 34c each
